Merry Christmas

Did Santa bring me anything?

Which camera are we looking at?

Thanks gma for the cute little santa dress.
We did not take any still pictures of Lauren opening her presents since we just recorded it on video. I will try to pull some photos from the video,no promises though.

Puddles, Puddles everywhere

Lauren always wants to jump in puddles. She got her chance this past weekend to jump as much as she wanted. Even though we bundled her up she still got wet. It wasn't that cold outside so she really enjoyed her time in the puddles.

Belated Halloween photos

We decided to go around the neighborhood early for her first real trick or treat outing. Not very many people answered the door to give us treats but she had a fun time.

On the front walkway ready to go!

Disappointment as no one answered the door.

Ready for the next house!

The stash she never got to eat :)

As a side story for Halloween, Eric was flipping through the tv stations and happened to stop on some Star Wars special. Lauren saw the deformed Senator Palpatine's face when he is fighting Mace Windu. Lauren immediately says "Look Daddy its Halloween!" One of the funny results of seeing all the scary costumes around Halloween.

Helping with the whipping cream

"Ok I will lick a little of the whipping cream off for the picture."

"Hmmm, maybe I can have some more."

"All done. How do I look?"

Hickory Dickory Dock

Car Washing

Lauren got to help her Uncle Greg and Auntie June wash the car this past weekend. Since she isn't very tall she was in charge of the wheels.

Am I doing a good job?
Doing the asian squat to get that wheel clean

Lauren actually didn't get that wet cleaning the car, but she definitely had a lot of fun!

Nursery Rhymes

Lauren was given a Nursery Rhymes book by Grandma and Grandpa. They read this book to her when she goes over on Mondays and Fridays.
She has learned many of the rhymes in this book like the one below "Jelly on the Plate".

I have heard her recite Hey Diddle Diddle, Ring around the Roses, Jelly on the Plate, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, Twinkle Twinkle, Hickory Dickory Dock, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Sing a song of sicpence, round and round the mulberry bush and the grand old duke of york.
Here is she is singing Ring around the roses

Go Bears

Grandpa and Grandma got some Go Bears posters from a Cal basketball game so I taught her how to cheer with one of them.

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for the sweatshirt too!

Happy Birthday Auntie June!

We celebrated a little early but we want to wish Auntie June a very happy birthday!

Blowing out some candles!

Candy apple anyone?

Auntie Vincy moved back down to LA so when we were in Anaheim she came and had dinner with us.
Lauren wanted to share the candy apple we got for Auntie Vincy.

Let's try to just take a bite.

Since biting it didn't work. Auntie Vincy had to cut it. Lauren had to put her hands on her head so she the fingers wouldn't get in the way of the knife.

Enjoying the apple and the chocolate pieces that made up the face.

Thanks for spending time with us Auntie Vincy. We miss you!

Our cool kitty

For Halloween this year Lauren was a kitty cat. She wanted to be a tiger but I couldn't find a tiger costume. Here she is posing in the gp's backyard.

She got to visit other kids at the school Gma substitute teaches at. Thank you Uncle Rob and Auntie Karen for letting her visit your classrooms.

Lauren got a nice treat after hanging out in that hot costume all day.

Around the house

She thinks she can fit in this drum. I warned her she might get stuck.

The little dresser she inherited from Grandma Ko is a good hiding place she thinks. She will often close the door as she is not really afraid of the dark. You can find her here or in the closet in her room when she is playing hide and seek with Mommy.

We converted her crib a few months ago to the toddler bed. She was climbing out of her crib when she woke up in the morning so we felt it was time. She has been doing really well in it. She doesn't leave her room until the appointed time (6:30 am) when the green light on her alarm clock turns on. She will come running out of her room at that time and tell her Daddy that the light is green and to come check. She is a morning person and she loves to play once she gets up.

More Legoland pics

On the train with Daddy

Hey this ride is fun. You just have to hold onto the ears to make it go. They are useful for steering too!

Fairytale ride with Daddy. She knew most of the fairytales that were displayed.

Legoland with Daddy

Sorry about being remiss about posting. Here are some pics from the past month or so...

We went to Legoland with Daddy in October when were in SD. It was pretty warm and clear. Lauren enjoyed her time just looking around. She liked the fairytale ride and just hanging out with Mom and Dad. She did not like the scary Indiana Jones type exhibit where you go in these caves to look for these lego artifacts. She held on to Mommy pretty tightly.

All the mini cities were pretty neat. Lauren liked the ones with boats (Los Angeles) where you go turn the wheel to make them go.

She loved the little play area for smaller kids where she got to drive a tractor and ride on a train with Daddy.

Being Silly

We all know as adults that pants aren't supposed to go on your head, but Lauren thinks its funny. Grandpa got some good pictures of her laughing about it.

Playing "Help me, I'm stuck".
