I like the blue

Lauren decided she wanted to wear blue today so her shirt matches somewhat with her hat in this picture. I gave her a choice of pink or purple but she said blue and chose the shirt she is wearing in the picture.

I just think this is a cute picture of her. Her hair is growing so it is currently a funny length so the hat makes it look better. If you look closely you can see some of the banana that grandma fed her in her mouth :)

there's something in your hair!!!

Last night was bath night....

of the fun little games that we've been playing lately, there has been the bubbly facial hair(beards, mustaches and eyebrows), and last night I played the "there's something in your hair" game.

In the tub, we've had little foam letters, numbers and animals that we've taught her to play with, along with the various containers that she pours with, along with the squeezy animals that squirt. Last night, I dropped one or two of these at a time on the top of her head lightly so wouldn't feel it, and tell her "something is in your hair!!!".... she'd reach up, feel around for it and call out what it was.....

I continued to do this to her, without her seeing or knowing(or so I thought) quite a few times as she giggled away..... after a while, she even put the letters and numbers back up there!

fun fun fun... I'll try to get a picture next time..

A day out in GGP

We went out to Golden Gate Park to the Academy of Science museum and the Conservatory of Flowers.
We got to take a good look at the penguins this time but none of them were swimming :(.
The conservatory of flowers has an edible plants exhibit which we went to see since Auntie Vincy was the docent that day :) We got to see lychee, vanilla beans, coconut, ginger, cacao pod. I guess for us asians it wasn't that unusual. Lauren just liked running around in the exhibit and dancing with auntie.

"Look Mommy, the cheetah opens his mouth like this!"

I like Mr. Tortoise.

I like him so much he gets a kiss!
She likes wearing her stacking toys as bracelets if you are wondering what that orange thing is around her wrist.

Dancing in the conservatory with her binoculars.

Lauren actually looking at me. Those pictures are far and few between.

"I see Auntie VincyAuntie Vincy sees you!

Tap dancing with Auntie Vincy

We spent some time with Auntie Vincy and Uncle Micah today. Auntie Vincy thought it would be cool to expose Lauren to some tap dancing. Of course Lauren had to put on her shoes and try it out.

Of course she made Mommy and Uncle Mommy join in on the fun. Alas, there is no footage of that :P

Pigtails?

Auntie Vincy thought Lauren would like pigtails so we tried it out.
I think she looks very cute, but of course I am biased.

It took her a couple of hours but once she was in the car and out of my reach she took them out :(.

Popsicles

Lauren will often ask for a "Pop-sic-KULL" since she loves them so much. Here she is at Grandma and Grandpa's showing off her popsicle tongue.

It's better not to mention them around her as she will hound you for one.

Learning sight words

Yes, she has a shoe in her hand. She wanted to hold it for some reason. She knows a few more words that I do not have cards for yet and she recognizes her first and last name.

Playdate at the zoo

Auntie Joy organized a playdate at the zoo here are some pics.

The turtle Lauren is familiar with.

Sliding out of the turtle. Lauren did this several times as she thought this was funny.

Watching the lemurs.

Inserting a pine cone into the zoo key informational boxes. She has a key but she wanted to put the pine cone in.

The girls liked this tree for some reason. Sophie running to meet up with Hannah and Lauren.

Lauren and Hannah running away from the tree.

In front of the otter exhibit.

The group taking a break eating grapes.

I guess we are lazier since we sit to take a break to have some milk and some pretzel goldfish.

Another visit to the Academy of Sciences

Mommy and Lauren with the big fishy.

Lauren marching with Mommy up the ramp in the rainforest exhibit. Thanks to Auntie Vincy she marches and says hup, two, three, four.

Must be the trees and the lighting but it looks like red highlights in her hair.

Turning the wheel of one of the exhibits.

Eating a snack at Grandma and Grandpa's

This video is just Lauren eating a snack at Grandma and Grandpa's. She is using the chair that used to be Eric and his brother's when they were little.

I converted this file from its original format since it was too large to upload directly sorry about the widescreen :).

In the backyard again

Well it's that time of year that Lauren loves most. Time to hang out in the back yard and water the and watch the plants grow. It is still a little cool outside but Grandpa got some cute pictures of Lauren.

Looking at grandpa as she reaches for her watering can.

Watering the potted plants.

I don't know how grandpa gets so many good pics of Lauren. I am thankful that he does. She moves around so fast now all my pics turn out blurry.
