Picture at a park

I don't know if you have the same experience but I have photos of me and my siblings at some park or rest stop, which all have the non-descript buildings of a neutral hue. They are from the days when my siblings and I were little and we took car trips during our vacations. I cannot remember which parks they are in but the picture below is in tribute to all those pictures.

My sister Anne was even commenting that the jacket that Lauren is wearing is in the style that we wore when we were kids. In this picture at least you can see the name of the park we were at. This picture is outside the carousel in Tilden Park.

We have some carousel pictures I will post later but we haven't downloaded them off the nice camera yet.

Playing in a castle

A couple of weeks ago Auntie Tam suggested a play date at SadieDey's Cafe (http://www.sadiedeyscafe.com/). It is basically a coffee shop that has an area for little children to play. We arrived a little later than Tam and the girls but Lauren had a good time playing there. Lauren really liked the castle you seen in the pictures below.

Lauren "in" her castle.

Playing with Kailani. I couldn't get Kai to look up for a pic.

You can't really see it but she is giving love to a little bear that was trapped in one of the castle's dungeons.

Auntie Harr said it was a hat?!

Science Museum

A couple of weekends ago we went down to the Science Museum again but this time Daddy came with us.

Lauren and Mommy's handprints.

Lauren loves to play with the water so we went to the water exhibit first. Since it was early in the morning Lauren was pretty much by herself in the area.

Busily playing with the balls.

More playing... Of course she really only likes to play with the purple balls but since the other ones were there she played with them too.

She was soaked by the time we got out of the exhibit but she had a really good time.

Some painting with colors other than purple.

Below are some pictures of this ball shoot thingy in the water area. Lauren liked it so Daddy took some action pictures of it.

Falling asleep with a favorite book

When I take her on car rides she will often ask for this particular book. She can say the word numbers even though it sounds more like nummers. I love this picture because she is gripping the book even though she has fallen asleep.

She likes to look at all the pictures in this book. I will ask her what she is looking at in the book and she will often reply with the numbers, colors and/or objects. She always amazes me at what she knows.

Thanks Auntie Vincy and Uncle Micah for the book. She love, love, loves this book.

Weeeee!

This one is for you Daddy!

Eric saw this contraption on Craig's List and wanted to buy it for her but we don't have the room for this kind of thing. Lauren had a blast trying this out at a place called Studio Grow in Berkeley. Here are some more pictures of her at the place. She is really quick so I didn't get any really good pics.

Here she is in the little ball pit. She kept throwing these big balls in there to play with. There is a little blond boy in the background in some of these pics who would do whatever Lauren was doing. It was kind of funny.

Playing in the little play structure.

Going down slides is getting easier and easier!
